How We Got Started
.png)
We are a team of devoted high school students who are on the mission to provide an effective solution for poor time management and procrastination issues. This idea was started from our high school's President's Business Challenge (PBC). As a team, we created our startup and pitched our business plan including our app mock-up, five-year go-to-market strategy, five-year projected income statement, and more in front of four sets of judge panels filled with industry leaders, competing against eleven other entrepreneurial teams. During PBC, we got the opportunity to pitch to, gain mentorship from, and discuss a future partnership with the CMO and CCO of Chegg. In the final round of PBC, we pitched to Radar Partners, a venture capital firm in Palo Alto, and earned first place in the competition as well as seed funding for our startup. At this point, we realized there was major potential behind our idea and we wanted to make Sloth a reality.
